Upon arrival via public ferry from either Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook, St. Thomas, you can walk to the resort from the ferry dock, either on the beach or through Wharfside Village, in just a few minutes. The whole resort is within a brief walk of all that Cruz Bay has to offer, from hiking trails to world class beaches, shopping at Wharfside and Mongoose Junction to casual & fine dining, all within a 5-10 minute walk from your condo.

By car (from your reserved indoor parking space) or by taxi, you will also enjoy the world famous Trunk Bay beach, routinely rated top-10 beaches in the world, with an underwater snorkel trail dedicated by John F. Kennedy. Trunk Bay is less than 10-minutes by car. Add to that list, Hawksnest, Cinnamon Bay, Maho Bay, amongst other major beaches to get acquainted with before venturing to explore the many lesser known beaches and coves. (Ask us to tell you about some of the most secluded. Tell us how much you want to swim, and we can get you to reefs off the beach seldom seen by most tourists.)

The Grande Bay Resort is the ONLY in St. John with a heated pool and a hot-tub, situated on an elevated sun deck with a commanding view about 30′ above the water. Another element that is part of the unique ambiance at Grande Bay is our waterfall, adding to the unique sights and sounds of the resort. You know when you arrive, that you are in a special place, a grande place, above a wonderful bay, Cruz Bay!

And once you arrive, and get settled into your private condo, you can gravitate to the view from the sun deck or take a dip in the pool or hot tub, and contemplate where to dine. (We can also make reservations for you, in advance, for your first night or two in Cruz Bay – we are happy to do it.)

When the sun comes up, you can take a hike to one of the beaches accessible via Lind Point trail, or enjoy an indoor workout at Grande Bay’s spectacular air-conditioned gym that is well-equipped with modern equipment – including a pilates machine!

The gym, and the view from the gym, is unparalleled in the USVI. Then, grab a breakfast in your suite, or at one of the local cafes nearby, like Mojo Cafe. A day in St. John is not complete without a dip in the Caribbean blue. But, if the sea and salt water is not for you, then relax pool-side.

The pool itself is unique, and will delight young & old with the ceramic tile inserts of an eagle ray, hawksbill turtles, an octopus, amongst other aquatic life, all selected by the founder of this site. The resort is also the only in town with indoor, reserved parking.
